Our HERstory
100+WomenWhoCare South Florida was established in early 2013 by Founder, Melody Spano. Today there are five local chapters, Broward, Miami Beach, North Palm Beach County, South Palm Beach
County, and Jupiter/Tequesta.
As of the end of 2025, the North Palm Beach Chapter has raised more than $350,000 (since 2018) and all five chapters of 100+WomenWhoCare South Florida have raised about $2.5 Million for local non-profits with the help of a matching grant from the Richard M. Schulze Foundation.
Guidelines
- Quarterly Meetings, 1.5 hours in length including a 1/2 hour for mingling and networking.
- Meetings attendance is not mandatory but appreciated.
- Three charities (sponsored by members) are randomly chosen from a pool of nominees that have been vetted prior to the meeting and have the opportunity to present for up to 5 minutes.
- If a proposed charity is not selected during a meeting, it will be put back into the drawing for the next meeting.
- The group will vote by ballot at the meeting and the majority rules.
- 100% of funds raised goes to the member selected charity.
- We donate online through a partnership with Grapevine.
- Each member donates $100 per meeting ($400 Annually)
